Quick question for the lateral thinkers here:
I am attending the first three days of the Hobart Test and I have no idea what to do with my luggage on Day 3.
My QF flight is at 19:40 on Day 3.
I'm staying in central Hobart, on a yacht, checking out the morning of Day 3.
Leaving bags back in town is not an option given the location of the cricket ground and the airport.
There's no cloakroom at the cricket ground. I have QP and OWE however there are no lockers at the airport / lounges that I can see.
I thought maybe a taxi to HBA, an early check in, and then head back to the cricket which commences at 2pm. 20-30 min trip each way.
There's a 10:20am QF flight, so check-in desks will be manned. Would this be allowed or is there a "policy" which kills this option?
Also considered hiring a car in the CBD, driving to the cricket, and leaving my luggage in it before dropping it off at the airport, however rental prices on the Apple Isle are outrageous at the minute.

I thought you could only check your luggage 4 hours prior to departure.

No chance of you leaving your luggage for the day at the yacht or the marina office ??

According to the Hobart Airport website:

Hobart Airport offers luggage lockers, which can be used as a self-service storage facility any time of day or night.

Simply lock away your goods, make payment, and create your one-off unique pincode.

Looking for a locker at the Terminal?

  • You’ll find lockers located outside the terminal in the public pick up/drop off lanes. The lockers are in a safe, undercover location.
Locker sizes and fees:

  • Medium locker (605mm H X 430mm D X 355mm W) $14 per 24 hours
  • Large locker (940mm H x 550mm D x 420mm W) $16 per 24 hours
For further information about locker storage, please contact Smarte Carte direct on +61 7 3860 6236.

OK, weird, I'm positive I read a few weeks back somewhere that lockers were not available. Thanks for that info. I'll call and double check.

My memory isn't fading that fast... the website was updated not long ago. Wayback machine from pre-xmas on the left.
