Hawaiian Airlines has increased its free baggage allowance after
claiming the battle for business has moved beyond cheap air fares.
Under the move, passengers will be able to check in two 32 kilogram items
Hawaii and the US mainland without additional charge.
The airline, which operates three weekly flights to Hawaii from Sydney said the battle for business “has never been more competitive” and is
moving beyond air fares to also include “value-added extras”.

Interesting move in the light of recent discussions here on AFF regarding this issue.
 
As has been said may times recently the airlines need to reinvent themselves in order to survive. Making money is not all about tightening the screws and scaring customers away....
