They obviously think you are in one of these categories.

We had a company which was deregistered over 20 years ago. We still need Directors ID.
Bureaucracy gone wild.

Seems odd, the FAQ specifically states “registered”.

Just login to the director id website and it will give you the number if you have already applied.

In the end, it was a straightforward process - 5 minutes max.
The difference between my application and my wife's was that she had only a basic MyGov identity level.

Problem though in the last 10 days the system has been in meltdown, Have got through 3 times. twice it dropped out and once I got to give all my info but their system then crashed so no ID number. Waiting on hold at present.
