Afternoon all,

I've just retained Gold for the first time, somewhat early (late October is my review date).

Just wondering what happens now with SC's earned between now and then? Will my SC's be reset to 0 at my review date, meaning anything I earn between now and then are superfluous? Or will they carry over, meaning I'll have less SC's to earn for my next 12 months from late October?

Cheers, and thanks in advance.

Any SCs you earn between now and your review date unfortunately are not carried over into the next 12 months for requalification for Gold - when you hit your review date in October, you will again have to earn 400 SCs in the 12 months after that (plus eligible sectors of course) to requalify for Gold - so effectively those SCs will go to waste unless you intend trying to reach Platinum or have another family member you can pool to in order to help them to achieve a higher status level.

If you think your flying between now and October OR now and say, December# will be enough, you might want to think if getting worthwhile status on, say QF might be possible. I find its handy to have status on 2 networks - then you can actually choose the flights that suit and not be hand cuffed by 'loyalty' perks.

# December if you think Dec '15 to Oct'16 will get you VA gold again.
