Trying to figure out how much it will cost my Auntie (NB) to take a kids bike back home (PER-MEL)

She will have probably 15-20kgs in one bag for herself..

But looking at the QF website just now.. I can't see how much it costs to buy extra kilograms? Obviously she will have to pay the extra bag charge as well.

Can anyone link me where the costs for buying extra kgs are on the QF website?

Cheers gogo

Sorry.. I saw that. How much is it per extra kilogram? (Over the first 23kgs she gets?)

Or does QF only charge per extra bag now? Not by extra Kilograms as well?

You can pre purchase a piece, but any heavy items in your allowance will be subject to a heavy charge:

Non-Frequent Flyers, Bronze and Gold Frequent Flyers travelling in Economy - 23kg per piece.
If your bag is over this weight (up to 32kg) a Heavy Charge will apply at the airport.

So it you have one bag over 23kg, expect a $20 heavy charge at the airport, which is the same as buying another 23kg and packing it in a separate bag. Its on that page but note that buying another bag does give you 23kg x 2 in total, no bag can go over 32kg.
