Has anyone tried booking flights through the AA Japan site?

The AA Japan site uses an Amadeus booking engine which allows the entry of other Airline FF numbers, as well as most of the usual AA functions. Some functions are missing though.

I have had a quick play with it, and it seems to work well, but couldn't get it to price up a certain multi-leg trip I'm wanting to take. (It just won't find a certain connection I need, but will happily offer me the one a few hours later!)

Has anyone used it before? You seem to be able to enter an Australian address at the payment page, but I'm not sure if it would then baulk at the transaction or complete it correctly.

Under the T&C of the site, it does mention the following:

Q Can I make a reservation even if I don't live in Japan?
A Yes, you can book a reservation regardless of where you live.

Q Can I use a credit card that was issued outside of Japan?
A Yes, the following credit cards are acceptable for payment regardless of the issuing country: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, and Diners Club. Credit cards will be charged in Japanese yen by American Airlines. Your credit card company will determine the exchange rate used for conversion.

It does seem to have no online change/refund capability, so changes/refunds would have to be dealt with by AA Japan. It also appears that only AA flights and AA Codeshares on e-ticket partners are able to be booked.

I also note the same booking engine is in use for most of the European AA websites.

Wish Amadeus would recognise my connection and allow me to book - then I'd be able to report how it went!

I had a brief flirtation with it today; but looking at a BOS - MCO return in 'discount' First it advised me there was no fare for that route.

SO I went on to something else.
