Has anyone else noticed government rate no longer available?

Tried a few bookings at both Melbourne Hiltons with no luck (Feb, Apr and May), and did a whole heap of dummy dates to test. Are these rates still available at Australian Hiltons? (I am actually eligible and they are actually for work travel, in case you were wondering :)).

I think so, maybe just the dates are not good, I do find the Govt rates vary from hotel to hotel.

I've booked a couple but noticed they were light on and I usually get in a points and pay week in HOTP in Mar and it seems there is none avail either.

I haven't booked an AU hotel for a few weeks, but I did book govt rate in Berlin last night with no trouble. Just as a data point.

Email one of the hotels. Occasionally they have issues with the system specifically relating to their Gov rate availability

Was checking some HSW rates yesterday and had a look.

There were Govm't rates available at ~80% BAR.

The Gov't rates still show for me, but the last few searches and bookings, I've found the Gov't rate is not viable (more expensive than alternatives......even the "best flexible rate" has at times been as cheap or cheaper). Perhaps it's just the time of year?
