Lovely video Dmitri... I was looking out the window, seeing the grey skies and the rain pouring down, knowing that I am in for a late shift in the emergency today and I was thinking, yeah, just rub it in. But then I realised that I am off on holidays next week and it all felt better :D

It was a pretty island to visit but for me, didn't really have enough to do....

Nice for a honey moon perhaps or if you like lying on a beach or there with some friends who like to go out for drinks each night...

Prefer an island with some white water rafting, better diving and other sports and fun activities, but may go back there again, or maybe Kykonos next time...

I did nothing but swim and eat grilled sea food and drink Mythos, that was perfect for me.

Yeah, even with friends that would get a bit old for me fairly quickly, but travelling on my own made it even more so, plus i think i ate something that didn't agree with me and was a bit sick for the last day or two there and into the beginning of my trip to Cinque Terre...

Plus coming from Perth there aren't many destinations around the world that's beaches particularly excite me...

Its not high on my list of reasons to travel...

We spent 3 nites here in 2013...;loved it esp. watching the most magnificent sunsets with a glass of wine. Agree not a lot to do esp. at night but maybe Mykonos would be better casanovawa for activities!?

I'm glad I went to Santorini and saw it, but I don't really rate it. It lacked culture, was quite fake, and had quite ordinary food (and I generally consider the food in Greece my favourite of all the 29 countries I have visited) - though I did enjoy refamiliarising myself with Cinzano Rosso on ice with a slice of orange. I much preferred the islands on the other side, Ithaca and Kefalonia (between Greece and Italy). Would like to go to Rhodes next time, so thanks for the thread and the reminder, I shall be bumping Rhodes up my list ;)

Sydney perhaps?

Never visited the beaches in Sydney but from hearing others... Yeah not sure they quite measure up to some of our local beaches... :) Maybe everyone thinks the same??? I'm sure they are nice enough...

But been to a few coast lines around Europe and craggy, rocky or grey sand or crowded etc... So yeah, I tend to travel for beautiful old/ancient architecture, places where historic events have occurred, different types of natural beauty, big, pulsating cities, culture etc...

Not so much for swimming beaches...

And yes, maybe some day I will stop in at some of the other Greek islands...
