Hi folks,

Haven't flown on a Dash 8 for years (generally try to avoid them) but have four flights on them next week - I've checked what the Qantas website says about luggage (1 x 105cm (41in) bag), but I can't work out if that means I am or am not allowed to have a separate handbag?

Can someone clarify?

thanks
Rebekka

I don't think you should have any trouble with a smaller second bag. I fly Dash 8s occasionally, and have never seen anyone grumbled at.

handbags will be fine
theres always premium hand luggage!

the problem is that they all differ in the overhead capacity
I had a new aircraft today (it still had that new plane smell) and teh lockers were ok

Premium hand luggage?

they take your roll on at the base of teh stair and put it in the hold
They then get it out of the hold and give it back to you when you get off
Needs to be tagged

If there are any problems, they will take a bag off you at the bottom of the stairs going in, and then return it to you once you come back down the stairs.

Right, premium hand luggage I can cope with. I always wondered what those tags were about - I've seen them on bags around the office. Like I said, haven't flown on a Dash in some time...
