Hamilton Airport - Who manages this place?

So, received a text from Qantas saying flight HTI to Sydney is delayed 30 minutes. No problems as we have a long connection in Sydney to Adelaide.

Arrive as scheduled. Signs still saying original departure time. That time is about to pass. No announcements to anyone re delayed departure and still original time posted.

Then a Qantas person comes over to our sitting area and tells us the flight to Sydney is boarding immediately from Gate 2 (we were at Gate 3 which is now saying that is the Brisbane departure gate). But the announcements were saying Gate 2 was Brisbane. So everyone for Sydney moves immediately to board from Gate 2. Nope. The guy turns us all away. Its the Brisbane flight after all. No apologies from the Qantas person who moved us over.

Then a couple rush to Gate 2 for the Brisbane flight. They close the door with 15 minutes to departure. They miss their flight. Then five minutes later they are calling for a couple to go to Gate 2 for the Brisbane flight. But there is no one manning gate 2 and doors are closed.

Many people here are tourists. The scattiness and confusion here is not a good look.

There is no lounge. :(. Not exactly a great airport.
 
That's a pretty disorganised performance.

On our NZ holiday last year, when lobbed in Hamiliton and had some pretty dodgy experiences. 2 night later there was a show on TV called Hamilton bogans. that explained everything...

You might be disappointed if you ended up at Hamilton instead of Hamilton Island unless you were a Mooloo supporter
 
Well we finally departed. Of course while having a premium lane there was only one person checking in. And she distinctly ignored us.
