GST refund scheme in Canada?

Does Canada have a VAT/GST tourist refund scheme? Just trying to decide whether to buy a camera in Toronto.

No, not any more it ended some time ago. Depends what you are after some cameras are cheaper but the bigger savings are found in the more expensive lenses (Nikon etc). The best and cheapest place in North America however is B & H Camera in New York, now that is one amazing store!

Thanks mole - I was thinking about getting a Canon EOS 5D mkII - seems alot cheaper than AUS but pity about the lack of duty free.
