I think your Superior Room will stay the same but with Club Access. The only difference IMO with a Club Room is different toiletries (L'Occitaine Vs Lanvin) & an Nespresso machine. They are both the same size. The Club rooms are also on a higher floor as are the Superior rooms. Interested to know what you end up obtaining.
Will let you know what happens. The normal Platinum upgrade should at least come into effect, ie the superior room should turn into a Luxury room (as it usually does).

This is great news thanks for sharing! I wonder if the Inchcolm was providing some competition?!

Brisbane (as well as Melbourne and Sydney) have some good Accor options, but each has their own quirks which has prevented us from sticking with one particular hotel in each of these cities. We've always preferred the Brisbane Sofitel for its easy access via train from the airport and good dining options (50% off with Accor Plus card). Now with lounge access as Platinum it's a no brainer for us to choose the Sofitel and we have already booked for our next stay in a few months' time.

We are very lucky in Brisbane with the full spectrum of Accor properties all within a radius of about 1 kilometre, from the usually inexpensive Ibis to Mercure, to Sebel, Pullman, Novotel, Incholm to the Sofitel. There is something for all budgets and the perks for status are not too bad.

Update....Just checked in for my Superior room (lowest grade room) whilst checking in the GM Marcus Hanna appears at my side for a personal meet and greet and handshake plus little chat. Upgraded to Club room and club access. Told everything was for Plat members treat. Gotta love it. Its friday night in Brisbane, the Ekka is on and the Bronco's are playing at home, so I would assume the place is pretty full so the upgrades are great and all this was on points so the final room rate for tonight was $65.
