So after venting my recent frustration on here, only to have my issue resolved, I thought it fair to get around to posting something about a recent good experience with QF :)

My wife and I booked a RTW in J using points about a year ago for our honeymoon. Red Roo must have been lurking when I was asking questions about planning and other things.

We were welcomed on QF93 on the 4th June by FAs at the plane door as soon as they saw our boarding passes, We were congratulated and made to feel very welcome and special. The CSM came to introduce herself and was very genuine and spoke with my wife for some time about our plans. We were showered in champagne and offered some sneaky goodies from F, but we were already more than satisfied with our meals in J. At the end of the flight the CSM returned to give us a little gift of a bottle of champagne to enjoy on our trip. It was such a lovely gesture and really started off the trip on a high note.

Our next flights were with other oneworld airlines and we quickly settled back into the crowd! The flights were enjoyable but the personal service was a little lost.

When we started our journey back on Saturday from LHR, we were again greeted as we boarded the plane and again congratulated. Then we were surprised on our flight from DXB-MEL when the same CSM from MEL-LAX came p to greet us and ask us all about our holiday. After a quick chat she left to tend to some other passengers, my wife turned to me and said "This is why we fly Qantas".

It was such a good experience returning home to kind staff and a welcoming feeling. Good to see other people have had similar experiences recently coming home. Thanks again to all the FAs and Red Roo for your special efforts. I'm looking forward to our next adventure with Qantas!

Now that is a lovely story miggidy.
I have a partner who has been staunchly loyal to Qantas for about 42 years so loyalty can go a long, long way.
