The flights will probably arrive at Terminal D and the Grand Hyatt is connected directly so that's the fastest route to a shower, bed, and meal if you plan an overnight layover.

I think the Hyatt Regency got a refresh recently but it's on the other side of the airport and is the older of the two properties.

Of course if you will be in town longer then plenty of other better hotel options in Dallas and Fort Worth.

I stayed @ grandhyattdfw terminal D over thanksgiving '10. I upgraded to room with view to planes arriving, etc. Pretty neat. Room type I had was great, large, large b/room, separate bath and shower. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Such easy access from terminal to hotel. Staying there again in October. :)

Yep, consistent with my experiences there. I get complimentary Hyatt Platinum status with my CO credit card (plus priority access and other goodies) so it's really a no-brainer choice at DFW.

What would you recommend in both Dallas & Fort Worth?

In Fort Worth the Ashton and the Omni are pretty good.

There are a ton of budget hotels in the DFW Metroplex and if you want to save $$$ then try the major sites for current deals.

We have a weekend layover in Dallas en-route to MSP in July. I've booked the Joule (its part of the SPG luxury collection) in downtown Dallas and it looks VERY nice, good reviews on tripadvisor too. Anyone stayed there?

Cheers
