My father is spending a few days in Singapore in September (on his way back from Scotland) and I wanted to try and organise a game of golf for him for his birthday.

Can anyone recommend a good course to play on - somewhere easy to get to and not crazy expensive? Or a good website that I can book it all through. He'd obviously have to hire clubs (and maybe shoes).

Thanks.

I haven't played golf in Singapore personally but know people who have played there. Golf in Singapore is not cheap. There are a number of websites that contain various useful information.

Marina Bay Golf Course (Public course ~SGD200 on weekends)

Sentosa Golf Club (Most exclusive and very expensive golf course out on Sentosa Island)

Hi

If the $ don't stretch to playing in SIN - Sentosa has a lovely couple of courses - then I've taken a day-trip to Johor a couple of times. Desaru is a great course and much cheaper than in SIN. Take a taxi to the causeway, bus across and then a Malaysian taxi to Desaru....

Sebana Cove, Johor is also a nice golf course, relaxing ferry ride from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal
direct to the golf course.

Batam is a good option just across from Singapore, you can get a package with ferry green fees and tranfers for $80AUD

Thanks for you suggestions. Will need to do a bit of research. I've got to say, I've never really understood this addiction to golf!
