Gold thanks to AFF & VFF! (and a question)

Firstly, a big thanks for the users of this forum. Made some sort of status for the first time in my life thanks for the information on this board. I've gained fantastic information and tips on finding points and SC's, pooling, crediting, and maximising returns. I think I've earned a Diploma in FF'ing in the past year. Now studying for the full degree. All of this has just turned me Gold VFF after a number of years fluffing around wondering "how do I?"

I even got to experience my first domestic and international biz class flights in the last few weeks - thanks to the info gained here.

So now I can look forward to some benefits that only a year ago were out of reach before AFF...

So my simple question:
In getting enough SCs for gold, I passed through silver status (showed silver for 3 days). Do I get a pack in the mail for both or will they just pass over me to gold? [I wanted a silver bag tag!]

Technically I believe you should, however there has been a recent example (can't remember the exact thread) where someone was Silver for a week, and was only sent the Gold pack. Upon calling the DJ team, they advised they wouldn't send out Silver.

Call them and report back your findings

That was QF (OP wanted the Silver QP pass for use later this year where their SG entitlements weren't going to cover guesting requirements).

Well I arrived home today to see my silver tag sitting in the mail with a letter.
The letter is dated 7 days adfter I turned silver. So I guess I should be waiting for the gold card in a few days.

So based on this one data point, I assume if you pass through each status, you'll get each welcome pack separately (assuming you pass through each level on separate days)..
