A question for those more knowledgeable than myself.
My membership renewal was Sept 7th. and I hadn't flown enough on *A to retain my Gold status, being 95 SCs short.
I even got my new Silver card last week and the nice letter with a month's free access to the Koru lounge. So far all good and as expected.
However when I logged onto my AirNZ account today it says that my status is Gold and expiry of my status is Sept 2012. What gives? Are AirNZ throwing Golds who don't make the cut a bone nowadays or is it a software snafu that'll get fixed in the next lil while?

Interesting ....

How many Complimentary upgrades are showing on your account?

Problem solved. I called the call centre and was told that my Gold status was "manually renewed".
Thrilled ofcourse.
So it (urguably) seems that in the current economic climate AirNZ have made the call to give their (usually) frequent flyers a bit of a hand up.
