Hey Guys

I re-qualified for Gold last wednesday however a week later my status date hadn't updated.. i flew international J last night (i planned this knowing my first flight would re-qualify me, hoping to go most of the way to 2nd year re-qual...)

Have I lost those SC's???

Now for my rant.... I emailed Velocity Customer Service this very question over 3 days ago and am yet to receive a response.. I think that this is an unacceptable timeframe and whilst I don't make a habit of referring to my status level when dealing with staff I am still a little disappointed that they would take so long to reply to a gold member...

Their review process is so strange. It took them a month to confirm that I had re-qualified for SG and for them to send out the card but I had re-qualified several months before my anniversary date anyway!

Mate, as a Platinum I get exactly the same as you. The upgrade/re-qual process takes a stupidly long amount of time, you need to allow at least 1 month. And for re-qual that is a month after your anniversary date, not after you actually re-qual. If you haven't got to your anniversary date, I say yes you've lost those SCs. As for a reply in 3 days, that's a complete joke, I'm laughing so hard it hurts. I'm still waiting for a reply from 6 months ago. As a gold you should be thankful you're not platinum.
