For those that like to go to the coast for what used to be known as Indy, be aware the track is being shortened and many hotels are now out of the precinct:

I would imagine the HI and others will be dropping their prices, on the + side it will make it easier to get around town .

This helps to explain how they were going to get rid of that awful walkway at Surfers Paradise over The Esplanade. I was thinking it would be odd to remove it with the race still on, as you can’t cross the track otherwise.

Haven’t been fussed about Indy since I was 16 and my dad smuggled me into a gentlemen's club on the Gold Coast, then I took a limo back to school. These days the police arrest people having fun in the towers, so there’s just the race, and that gets a bit boring eventually!
