I go to the Gold Coast (OOL) once a year for a conference which is always in August-September - not the same dates, just in that period. For the last three years' running I've booked a flight back to Sydney on a Saturday at 1705 and months out VA has emailed me to say I'm now on the 1505 flight to SYD. Now two hours earlier is a big difference and it's the difference between being able to attend the whole conference or rushing off early. It's annoyed me each year but I've just accepted it. But I feel like lodging a complaint about this. Not that it would do me any good. I'm guessing that flights are only every two hours so my other choice is a 1905 flight which is pretty late.
What I don't understand is how they can cancel a flight several months in advance. Surely there will be bookings between now and then. VA does this a lot with the direct SYD-TSV flight. So much so I've stopped booking it.
Just a vent. No point really. Pushing me back to QF but that would mean Jetstar anyway.
