It may indirectly benefit both VA and REX as GOL restructures their finances (i.e older 738s for REX and maybe VA's delivery slots for the 737-8 MAX being brought forward if GOL scales back their MAX-8 order). A lot of the 738/38M fleet are leased from US based companies.

I realise this doesn’t mean they’ll stop flying (at least not immediately) but I’ll be avoiding GOL on my upcoming trip to Brazil.

Their customer service was already awful when I flew them last year, and that was before all of this.
