I am going a (hard earned!) vacation to Europe soon.

Travelling on QF29 HKG-LHR on Wednesday... Just wondering if anyone has any tips or advice pretrip!

Thanks in advance!

I would suggest trying to be well rested before you get on the flight and only trying to sleep for the first half of the HKG-LHR sector. The flight arrives in around lunch time, so doing the above should help get your body clock in sync. Then try and stay awake until 8-9pm at least (London time).

This is what I have done when I flew on QF31 (similar timings to QF29).

I hope this helps!

Basically, I would suggest not sleeping more than perhaps for a cpl of hours at the start of the flight and then stay up. I have done the similar run on the SIN-LHR when BA / QF had a daytime service ; when you get to London, just stay up till evening and go to bed at a normal time. I have found that I end up with no jetlag doing this

I did QF29 a few weeks ago. After a long day on MEL (I flew down from BNE in the morning and did a day's work in the office), I enjoyed the steak sandwich soon after takeoff, followed by a glass of Morris Muscat, then slept for about 6 hours.

I then had a very light breakfast on board, and continued with a more substantial breakfast in The Wing dining room (their Chinese Dim Sum is excellent for breakfast).

Then I read and watched movies for most of the trip to LHR with a brief snooze in the middle of the flight. I then had a few glasses of JW Blue in the LHR T1 FLounge before my short flight to FRA. A good night sleep in the hotel at FRA had me well prepared for the following day.

This worked well for me.
