Oops. Ordered a pair using points thinking I'd run out. Clearing out a house for sale yesterday and found two more pairs still with the ribbon.

got this offer today "as one of our highest flyers"

Not valued but flying higher

Come on Pushka, we know you secretly wanted the special PJs :p you could push the QF trolley around the house in your new PJs.
SPRUNG.

Actually we are planning a trip to UK next year so we can be at son's delayed wedding reception (wedding in UK two weeks ago. Covid sucks.) Likely flying SQ and business at most so no PJ's. Thought these would work a treat 🤫

Oh I thought you were planning on wearing the pj's to the ceremony. So disappointed! :D

During the actual legal ceremony in July, the most discussed fashion item we heard on the livestream was the pretty masks worn by mother of the bride. Sigh.

As a WP I received the "High Flyer" email yesterday (Friday 6th). Obviously I am not in the upper echelon of high flyers and WP makes little difference if eBay has them on sale before I was advised of the QF sale. Not that is matters as I have a mid size box full still in their blue ribbon, from past journeys.

I just find the marketing words entertaining.

you know like, while all those valued flyers are at 10000 feet, as one of the highest flyers I'm at 10,050 feet.
Or as alluded by Richard - maybe my in flight meal comes with "special" brownies... lol

Yes I bought some as well. A little bit of nostalgia 100 for the centenary as was unable to pick up a pair travelling last year due to no travel. Also I have my Rio pair so another to add to the collection.

Ebay prices not compelling. not enough to not order direct from QF Store. Plus there is a little bonus of about some QF points if buying from the QF Store plus Amex points.
I get your point however I suspect that there would be some who are just in it for a small profit, as you mentioned a couple of points per dollar then 1+ if you have the right type of credit card. QF did not charge postage so the landed unit cost is around $37 per set. Shove them on eBay for $50 starting price + postage you are already in profit. Looking at the sold prices the green ones are getting more, the cheapest sold price was about $60 however some punter paid $283 + postage for a set. I will wait to be given some when international flights resume or maybe QF will just use them for P1 Christmas gifts.

A month later these limited edition PJs are still available. Either not many people bought them or Qf have plenty and tried to make them sound limited in supply by saying "limited to 2 sets per member" ;) To +1's chagrin, I bought 4 sets, not sure why. :(

Well, not sure how to process my experience. It must be an Oz Post issue.
Ordered the PJs and the 100 year 787 model, in the same order. They shipped the order in two packages, the 787 arrived last week, in a massive box full that was mostly full of the air pocket packing things. an item 30cmx 8cm by 10 cm in a box that's 40x40x15.
The PJs? Been sitting for 15 days at the first sorting centre "Received and ready to send".

I can only think they sent them in 2 boxes because the PJs have to be signed for, but the 787 could be left at the front door. Again WTF? The price of the plane is higher than the price of the PJs.

My two pairs, ordered in the one parcel, were delivered in two separate parcels on two separate days. Just stupid.
