GK One World

Will be travelling from Tapei to Narita/Haneda later on in the year. Have been looking at One World options for lounge access etc.

Has anyone travelled from Taipei with Jetstar (GK)? Is that still part of One World? Does it mean flying them onward from Taipei will help me access the Cathay Pacific Business lounge in Taipei?

May also not be called Jetstar by the end of the year.. Qantas has sold out to JAL and others and it's expected to be renamed soon.

But as above all the various Jetstars have never been part of oneworld. QF elites have had some benefits at QF lounges but even this has been slowly being scaled back.

Jetstar Japan, like Jetstar Australia, Vueling, Level, HK Express, ZipAIR and Firefly, is closely tied to a Oneworld airline, but is not part of Oneworld itself.

Jetstar Japan is listed under Qantas's "Oneworld and partner airlines". I was seeing if flying Jetstar would get lounge access in Taipei.

I remember having lounge access in Aus when flying with Jetstar. Hoping it was the same with GK as it is still "Jetstar". If it is different, then that name is misleading to me. in that sense i.e. you can fly Jetstar in Australia and get lounge access; but if you fly Jetstar in JPN you are not entitled to.

Unless of course the rules have changed here. I haven't flown Jetstar in 2+ years so unsure what the rules are.

omeworld ≠ Qantas.

While GK is a subsidiary of Qantas, it is not part of oneworld.
