Gifts for cabin crew

There are some that say there is ‘no intention’ to creat awkwardness or expectation of any benefit in return… but isn’t that just as bad as the real thing?

If you give gifts but haven’t though about the potential implications… how it looks, or whether the crew might feel under obligation?

That’s for ‘pre-service’ gift givers. After the event… like as you’re waiting to disembark, would have no connotations.

That's right. My MO (I'm in J) ... give something to the CSM when she/he comes round for the final 'goodbye/thanks for travelling for us ...'. Its a gesture of appreciation, not even necessarily thanks for great service, just appreciation. Not many service providers these days are obliged to put up with as much cough from customers, with little redress, as cabin crew on ME airlines.

Def alert Crew to incoming gifts ASAP - even before actually seated and off the ground - requires personal selection of gift by each Flt and Cabin Crew member - gifts distributed later in flt - hard to expect pref treatment if you seated in F - but as always ETTO 👍

But again think outside the square - gifting chocolates is so last decade.
