Hi all,

Is there an 'official' way to give your personal assistant access to your QFF account to make frequent flyer bookings on your behalf?

Obviously, for bookings that can be made online you could simply give them your login details: but for telephone-only reward bookings, is there a way this can be handled without them having to pretend to be you, or do you simply give them your PIN and Qantas doesn't care, provided the flights are being booked in the name of the member whose points are being spent?

With Velocity it seems there's a nomination form you can fill out with your assistant's name, along with an 'Authorised Representative password' that they can quote over the phone (along with your Velocity FF number) to make bookings from your account, but can't find something similar with Qantas.

I've always used husbands pin to call if I need to to book flights or change something. But usually the EA logs into their account. But you can book not being logged in and then put the FF number into the booking at the time or later.

I was asking whether an assistant could access my QFF account to book reward flights using points over the phone (not booking a paid ticket and adding the FF number into the booking to earn points - that's the easy part), as reward flights on some airlines can only be booked over the phone rather than online, and I'd rather not sit on hold when that's needed haha. :)

And I said that I did this with my husbands account.

I fly more than my boss, so QF is not an issue for me, but I do REALLY appreciate the companies that let me "talk/book/enquire" on behalf of the boss once authorisation has been granted.
I do believe that this is something that QF should look into.
