I know there is a 25 stay or 50 night requirement to get to SPG plat, but is there a target spend instead? I think I would spend more than some plats who get to 50 nights in the US or in budget chains, but never make the stay or night targets.
In Hhonors, I made it almost all the way to diamond after 1 stay, and by the end of the year will probably be diamond 3 times over on spend/base points. In SPG I linger at Gold, which I can get for free with the Amex Plat anyway.
