Getting through to Qantas call centre

Finally got through to someone in the Shanghai office who understood my problem and fixed it right away. Sooo happy now. I will ask for him personally next time :). I just don't understand why every time you call 131313 they are experiencing lengthy delays even at 2.00am!!!! Must be a lot of insomniacs out there lol.

If you use Skype it shouldn't be too expensive or can't you access that

I have had to call Qantas three times this weekend and got through fairly quickly on the first call (about 5min) and had two call backs within about 20min for the other two. No emergency so happy with service.

Something has definitely changed recently.

I called Qantas premium before 9:00am and waited for over 15 minutes before call answered and it didn't sound like Qantas premium. She was not able to see QF5314 BKK-SIN until I told her to search for that specific flight.

I know better but how many people actually accept the word of the consultant as to available options?

I was on the phone for nearly 2.5hrs over 4 different calls yesterday trying to book flights as the site was broken yet again. Each time I called up the wait time was 38-44mins. Worst i've ever seen it. I got cut off mid-call and never received a call back. Got the flights I wanted but it was a rock show getting to that point.

I was in Queenstown over the long weekend when our flight (QF122 ZQN-SYD 1635 scheduled departure) was cancelled due to a tyre bursting upon landing. I decided to call Customer care but being in NZ which was 3 hours ahead of Eastern Australia, it was understandably very busy (11pm NZ time is still 8pm East Aus time). I used the callback feature and though initially, the wait times were apparently 40 mins (according to the automated recording), I got the call back over two hours later.

I was connected with Qantas Premium and after discussing my concerns about routing/options, it was all promptly sorted.
So.. a positive experience to report (after a long wait).

Is the Q Premium Call centre located in NZ?
