Getting through DXB t3 in a hurry

I'm hoping to connect from ek345 to ek67 next week, with a scheduled 70 minute window. I see that ek345 has arrived 20mins late a couple of times in the last few weeks, at worst. So 50mins I guess, and being realistic, probably half that considering the time to open and close the doors. I'm going carry on only, and if it matters I'm in F and WP. Any tips to improve my chances of not spending an extended period in the lounge welcome... Not that I don't enjoy the lounge, but I'd rather make the connection :)

Cheers.

To STN? EK may rebook you on one of the multiple flights to LHR or LGW if you miss the connection?

Well therein lies the problem, as I'm en route to Cambs. Anyway, I think I'm right in saying there's no need to have to scan bags etc to connect within t3, anyone know for sure? Sadly I suspect a bloody mary is out.

Well, I arrived late, after a couple of circles outside of DXB, with forty minutes to make the connection, and EK once again demonstrated why they're the best in the business. The flight from KUL to DXB in the 'old' 777 fitout was fantastic, the old suite meticulously maintained and very comfortable, the food and wine sublime. Right off the airbridge was a concierge with my name to express me through the scanners while he maintained contact with the departure gate to confirm we would be there. And the next leg, from which I post this message, is in the new floor-to-ceiling enclosed suites, and they're next level. The hosties are too, not just a personal greeting, but one's bothered to check the last time we flew together and reminds me of it, though it was five years ago, and they've made a note of the kind of wine I like. Remarkable.

QF would do well to send their management team on one of these flights.
