Getting revenue seats released for AM redemption?

Have anyone managed to call up MPC or AM and request them to release revenue seats to allow AM redemption? I'm now a MPC GR pleb to make the matter worse

Would be ideal if I can get on CX138 or 162 instead of 110.

You can only waitlist. Or go to the airport for standby for earlier flight.

Yeah already on the wait list and hope for the best now. Or if I panic then take the other flights available...

They don't release for diamond so I doubt you have any chance as a green.

Called the MPC line, the ever helpful operator asks if there's revenue tkt on sale still? I said yes then while she can't confirm the number of people on the wait list in front of me (citing privacy reasons hmmm) the only thing I should do now is book the next best flight and pay $25 USD fee when the waitlisted flight becomes available.
