Phone AA and ask for the Qantas reference

If it is an eticket, you may be able to go to the booking on AA.com and then click on print intinerary and receipt which should then show the eticket number

I just had an eticket for a paid ticket reissued yesterday and they emailed me the new itinerary and eticket number

Or just ring Qantas with your flight details and they will give it to you.

I've got a 6 digit reference code for an AAdvantage Au/NZ award that works at:

https://www.aa.com/aa/myAccount/myAccountAccess.do

But doesn't work at:

http://www.qantas.com.au/regions/do/dyn/yourBooking

or:

http://www.checkmytrip.com

Anyone know how to get the eticket numbers or the Amadeus code without ringing up QANTAS?

Well the e-ticket number should have been on your emailed notification when it was ticketed. Otherwise you can get it from here (https://www.refunds.aa.com/) by using your AA PNR. That won't usually give you the Amadeus ref #. I have gotten it by calling AAdv and they will tell you. Otherwise others have reported being able to get it form BA.com MMB by using their AA PNR - though I would assume that at least one leg must be on BA.

Out of interest - why do yo not want to call QF - it would be the easiest option?

I ended up calling QANTAS last week. I was on hold for about 20 mins, till an operator answered... Seems like a long time to wait for such a simple enquiry.

Try timing your call for a time when they are not likely to be really busy. I called last week and was speaking to an agent within seconds to have a seat allocation changed (flight is using my AAdvantage number, so no QF status indicated).

Does anyone know how to check Alaska Airlines flights [with a QFF registered]? Their 6 letter code doesn't seem to work on anything like checkmytrip.com. It only works on their website.

Just tried it - does not work!

I am thinking perhaps it is one of those airlines that just does its own thing and doesn't share info in systems?

I guess this is where having QF Platinum status is a huge advantage. I cannot remember the last time I waited more than 30 seconds for the phone to be answered after providing the QFF number....

Called today for my locator record and was on hold for maybe 45-60 secs - number given but some issues regarding seat selection using MMB on BA again...
