I suspect I know the answer but just in case ….
I am QFP.
I am intending to book (and pay for) 4 x J BNE/LHR/BNE plus some internal EU flights. The 4 bookings are 3 plus myself and they are family.
The other pax will NEVER use their SC’s or points and therefore they will simply disappear (be wasted).
Option 1
I know that I can family transfer the points but as far as I know there is no way to transfer SC’s. Does anyone know if it is possible to, at the time of the booking, get all the SC’s credited to my FF?
Option 2
Try and get a Status Match with another program/airline who allows for SC transfers (I believe VA allows this). Move all future travel to that FF program and therefore maintain status. VA was only an example, I need to check others that may be more suitable/useful.

My preferred option is 1 but hey, I don’t write the rules! I know I am paying for the SC’s (check a fare where there no SC’s unless you pay a surcharge (JQ SYD/HNL) and on the same metal with QF so it seems a pity to simply flush them down the toilet!

Regards and thanks for any advice.

You're correct, no way to transfer SCs. And yes you can transfer points from family members.

Oh and welcome to posting, nine years since you registered and your first post.
Let's hope we see lots more.

The only airline I am aware of that pools SCs (or equivalent) is VA. The major partners on that route are SQ, EY, VS. You would need to fly 4/8 VA-prefixed sectors to get to Gold/Plat but you will have plenty of SCs with family pooling

Another consideration if you fly QF (or BA, CX, EK) is to credit the family members to Alaska. Although you cant pool AS points, you might find the earn rate and redemption value appealing
