Yes, I didn't really appreciate how much that bit of troublesome family history was nagging in the back of my mind until I got the all clear.

My GP has started using a new method of prescriptions,
He enters the data on the computer and I get an SMS. Then at the pharmacist they scan the QR code and the details transfer to their computer. Nice and easy.

Oh and just a minor script for my BP so not problems.

Hasn't that been happening for quite some time?
My GP, several specialists and Pharmacist have certainly been using the system.
Unless I am misinterpreting the detail - which is entirely possible.

Three weeks and I'm finally recovering from the horrendous chesty thing I got. Still coughing occasionally, particularly at night but at least I'm now functional.

I had my first one of these prescribed at least 3 years ago.

I don't really like e-scripts for long term medication as it can be quite hard to know when you last filled it, how many repeats remain, etc. That might just be the app that my pharmac_ uses, but I have tried 2 different apps (one from Priceline and one from LIFE) and they were both harder to use than paper scripts.

Where the e-scripts are great though is for one off medications, and if you travel domestically and find you forgot to pack one of your medications, you can just go and get another one (don't bother asking me how I know this !)

Agree. It's fine for the first one and sometimes extremely convenient after Telehealth which I'm having tomorrow for routine refill and can't be bothered going to the Drs but after that is dispensed I ask for a print out from the dispensing pharmac_.

Me too
I never use the pharmac_ based one at my local. I deleted it as would disappear from screen after first used.
I now get first script filled then ask for the physical paper with the repeats on it.

I just keep the medicine box. I dont even keep the paper repeats

I just present the box to the pharmacist for repeats- this only works if you use the same pharmacist.

We use that and MedAdvisor app connected to the pharmac_. Works well.

You should still be able to get a paper script. I do - I find it much easier to keep track of where I am wrt repeats etc. (I tried a e-script and an app - I lost track of things.)
