Expectant Dads are known to faint while their wife is having an epidural inserted...
A collegue of mine fainted when his wife was giving birth naturally. The staff just dragged him across to the corner and proped him up out of the way and went back to the birth. His wife told us, she didn't know to be more worried about her husband or the birth

Sending healing thoughts your way @drron and @mrs.dr.ron. You certainly deserve a break - and I don't mean another broken bone! Its so good to have a goal to motivate your recovery.

A wise friend sent this to me as I was railing against the unpredictable nature of chemo recovery. I think there are quite a few of us here on this thread that can relate to the frustration of just wanting to get better, now! compared to the reality of healing and recovery. I wish you both all the best.

Thanks. I need to send this to my friends who keep asking me why I hobble etc. when getting up to move after being immobile for a bit. They ask out of concern if I’m injured which is nice but….Also easy to forget that sometimes we are back there even a few years past cause there’s always something that needs managing especially when getting on in years. Pacing is something I did poorly in the early days. Much better at it now sometimes 😬

@ellen10, So good to read that things have turned the corner for mrellen10 and you can also breathe. Please take care and don’t forget pacing. The cliff is very sudden and creeps up without warning. I fell down the ravine a few times thinking I was like before…. And spent twice the time and rehab getting back to normal.

Even better should be able to fly in 4-6 weeks and our next trip is 10 weeks way.
@drron, what a good positive outcome after that worrying development for mrsdrron and I know you’ll keep pushing yourself to recover in that time. Take care.

And a story I didn't feel went with my previous post.
When I was doing an anaesthetics as student at RPAH my ttor was a brilliant anaesthetist but mad. One day the professor was doing A fem/pop bypass. As it progressed he said Bruce the blood is looking a little blue. It's OK Prof he has been dead for the last 15 minutes but I thought you needed the practice.
