Gather Round in South Australia April, 2024

We did get access to the area between the Oval hotel and the actual seating where there was music, food and drinks that you could access by paying a bit extra. Unfortunately Port Power lost that game to GWS.

Anybody with any experience as to what The Collective 18+ offers?

Intentions of others re ticket category purchase? I have never been to Adelaide Oval so have no clue where to start?

Today I looked at Gather Round hotels and what we booked is now sold out. Intercontinental is about $800 a night now.
Look at hospitality package and you might see us if our kids get it set.
Mrscove enjoyed staying at The Oval and the dinner was slow service but very good food. You can walk into your footy seats from their dining room.

We are stumped up at Hilton and it is now sold out.

Only game I intend to go to is Port V Essendon Fri night - but NFI which stand / tix to buy - hopefully some helpful SA based AO expert can offer advice

I'd go Western stands which have better seating as they are part of the Cricket Members area in summer. Also the most southern stand is good but the upper levels are very high but if used to MCG etc then not an issue. Views everywhere are pretty good though. The most southern stands are nearest to the city from your hotel, across the walkway on the river. But pick the time carefully as Power fans come across en masse. And you don't need to jostle with them.

What happens with the back to back games at AO? Do they kick everyone out and then let the next lot of fans in? Wonder how many from the first game hide in the bathrooms!

I was looking at attending the Hawks v Pies game as I get free tickets as part of my membership. Plan was to drive over Saturday from MEL and back Monday. Price/availability of hotels has ruined that plan. Maybe I could set up a swag near the cathedral...!

As @Pushka suggested

Depends if you like to watch from ground level or high up

Stadium Map | Adelaide Oval
You can find the section numbers from there

The Western stand sections are outside the SACA committee rooms so prime seating

Depends which team you support.
As Essendon members we get free tickets into the game and I’m also a MTX Club corporate member but I gave both lots of tickets away to mates as we will still be in Europe so will miss Gather round.
Work has a corporate box at Adelaide Oval but I very rarely use it as I think my MTX tickets offer a better experience.
Being a night game any seats will be good but plenty are still exposed to weather so you will get wet if the rain comes

I did buy 2 packages for Premiership Suite. I could get a tix easy as Essendon Member but the Ette was screwed - really wanted something a little special for the trip so hopefully this is it

Now to plan Barossa and McLaren Vale trips on Sat and Sun 👍

Funnily enough most of the accomodation is booked out but if there is any rooms left they are charging the Earth for budget properties yet Mt Lofty House is still available at around $800/n that weekend which is pretty good considering the Grosvenor and event the new Mantra are charging the same

And those that might be wanting to invest in resources can fit in a conference and maybe have a bit of a subsidy from the fiscal fiend for getting there. And the conference is free.

Well @Cruiser Elite we are both visitors to Adelaide so we really need some SA AFFers to provide some input.
I think we will be wanting to see the Dockers and Port play if we can.

We are going Fri nt to see Port V Bombreos - apart from that free rein so of any local yokel has ideas pkease let us know?
