Just one way, as that's all I need. Is that a good deal?

Oh right, I assumed you were looking for return. (That would be a sensational deal if it was return!) For one-way I would imagine you could get it down to ~$1400 for Bangkok to Europe in Business class, but it depends on a few factors I guess.

The price you found is pretty good though. Where is the destination? Have you had a look if it's any cheaper by flying into a "secondary" airport? (E.g. Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris, Prague etc.)

Brilliant! I've found business class flights from BKK>LHR for $1580 via Finnair and $1771 via Vietnam Airlines. There are comparable Air India and Kuwait Airlines flights, but I'm not familiar with those airlines. So many options!

Haha - thanks again!

Sri Lankan airlines has good fares from bangkok... sometimes just over $1000 one way. Providing Finnair is flying its new product, they would be better than Vietnam airlines for the price.

kuwait airways... nothing 'wrong' with them per se... except they are dry, and their seating is about 20 years old. so not flat beds even in First class.

however... Kuwait airways was offering $1000 business class from Kuala Lumpur all the way to London, with just a 45 minute connection in Kuwait City. for that price even I'd take it! (they use their first class cabin for business class on the kul-kwi sector, so fairly comfortable)
