Anyone had dealings with Captains Choice Cruises - looking at this one Gallipoli 2015 - Captains Choice Looks like it's a Silver Sea secondment.

Have never set foot on a cruise and really have no idea on value or quality.

Any advice will be very well received.

If other times are anything to go by, it is probably worthwhile trying to go direct with Silverseas (if possible)-certainly was the case in 2013 (discussed on here somewhere)

Had a look at Silversea. Doesn't appear on their schedule with a gap where the Captain Choice cruise is scheduled. Assume it's a private charter with one booking channel.

Hi Amaroo, are you still interested in the Captains Choice cruise ? We have been on the Silver Wind, we did the Black Sea cruise in July 2012. It is a nice size ship - takes 300 passengers. Captains Choice use Silverseas and we have been on a couple of cruises that have had a Captains Choice group on board. They have there own doctor in the group and most of them are over 60 and a high percentage female. CC appear well organised.

Any specific questions ??

Thanks mrs.dr.ron We've decided to reserve our first cruise booking for something different. Given the timing and the unique Gallipoli event - we've booked a land based four day tour (incl Dawn Service) 3 nights ATH, 4 nights IST, 3 nights LHR and then home.

Did you win tickets in the ballot or are you doing the dawn service somewhere else?

Yes, our number came up in the ballot. Quite a number of AFFers have got tickets, there is another thread on the subject.
