Does anyone have experience of this Lounge? Are there showers available? As a Qantas Club member (Silver FF) I believe I can take a guest with me to this lounge when flying on a Qantas flight. Is this correct?

Also, I am booked to fly BA from Amsterdam to London (arriving T5) then flying Qantas to Singapore (leaving T3) is it possible to have bags checked through from Amsterdam to Singapore? The bookings were made separately.

Is transfer from T5 to T3 done by the Heathrow Express? I've seen mention of a bus. How is this transfer made?

Don't take my advice as gospel but . . .

Yes, I believe you can take a guest due to the reciprocal (lounge) arrangement between QF, BA and AA. But I stand to be corrected.

Again, I believe you should be able to have your bag tagged through. I think it would help if the flights are booked on the same ticket (ie. same booking reference).

Heathrow T3 Lounge, has showers but no internet access, by the looks of things.

Although this part of the BA website suggests there is at least wireless available.

Was in the J lounge a couple of months ago - the F lounge hadn't opened at that stage and was still being completed.

You will have access at T3 Galleries with your guest. The T3 lounge is an "Associated lounge" (see Fly - The Qantas Club - Lounge Locations - UK/Europe )
and the Qantas Club rules on Access to an associated lounge is here:
Fly - The Qantas Club - Lounge Access

There are definitely pc's and printers. Can't recall whether showers were available at that stage, but believe they are there now.

BA should check your bags through (as even though it's separate tickets you are flying on oneworld on both sectors). They wouldn't check through bags if you were on a non-oneworld airline and had separate tickets.

T5 to T3 transfers should be able to be done airside assuming your bags are checked through (and you don't require a cigarette break!). For an International-International flight, the process is here: BAA Heathrow: Terminal 5 International Connecting to Terminal 3 International

If that link doesn't work, then visit the Heathrow website BAA Heathrow: Welcome to Heathrow Airport | Parking | Terminal 5 , Airport Information, Travel Between Terminals.

Can anyone confirm whether there is a Concorde room in T3 or just the F class dining area?

Seeing as the CR is made for F pax on BA primarily, and CR cardholders, I would think not. And before that, for the route the Concorde took, obviously.

This incomplete wikipedia list has the locations as LHR T5A & JFK. It appears there are 3 BA long haul services operating from T3, but they only get a Galleries First lounge.

There are BA F services out of T3 (hence the F dining room).

Thanks for the confirmation davidj-bell - I suspected this was the case but wasnt sure given the terminal has been in a state of flux for a while.
