Hello all,

I am helping my oldies get organised for a J-award booking to Europe in 2018, they have enough points - however its spread across multiple accounts (seperate velocity accounts, seperate ANZ rewards, seperate MR). Was wanting to find out whats the best way to arrange the points in the KF accounts?

Does there need to be enough points (161,500k) for the redemption in each of their KF accounts?
OR can it be mixed across the two (and a nominee in one of their accounts?)

Sorry if this is a straight forward query.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With KrisFlyer you can either redeem for separate awards from each account, or put all the miles in a single account and add a redemption nominee. Then you can redeem for all passengers from the one account. However, I don't believe there is any (easy) way to transfer miles between KrisFlyer accounts.

I would probably try to get all the required miles into a single KrisFlyer account if possible. You can transfer points between family members' Velocity accounts for free (before transferring to KrisFlyer) if necessary. Otherwise, just make sure you end up with enough miles for each passenger in their respective KrisFlyer account.

Cheers Mattg. So if I was to make a hypothetical booking for 100KF after discount for two people, options would be:

option a): have 100KF miles in person A account with person B as a nominee>>>make one booking
option b): have 50KF in person A account and 50KF in person B account>>>make seperate bookings

is it possible for the following:
option c): 75KF in person A account, person B a nominee and has 25KF in their account>>>make one booking
(or equivalent scenario with mixed points across two accounts)

cheers

Options A and B would both work (though A is preferable as you would get both passengers on the same booking).

As far as I'm aware, option C is not possible.
