Fuel/Tax on QFF redemption on BA

Hi, looking to book a oneworld award from LHR-HEL in J. 2 options on the route, BA or AY. ITA Matrix seems to show no fuel surcharge on the BA ticket, and approx A$55 fuel charge on the AY ticket/flight. I always understood BA to have high fuel surcharges/taxes. Am I missing something - has BA started including the fuel charge in the base price of tickets? If i redeem on the BA flight will it really cost me less$ than the AY flight?
