Really getting frustrated trying to redeem the "gift" given to you when reaching a higher status within SPG. The one where you choose between 25 or 30% off (depending on going silver-gold or gold to plat) or double points for a month.
I’m going on holiday to a few Sheratons in Asia for a family holiday and wanted to use the double points, but once I get to the end of the approval process I realize I can't do it for Sept, only to be used 2 months before travel, so I then decide I will use the 25% off, and then when I get to the end of that process it is only for certain room categories and only for redeeming free nights with points.
Ahh! Yesterday I used up all my points using them for points plus cash for the other hotels on the trip...
It may be me just being new to the SPG world but find it incredibly frustrating to redeem these vouchers unless you go through all the T&C or have previous experience with them. There must be an easier way.
Then again it may just be me being thick…rant over!
