As, yet another, aside the whole op-up business is also hit and miss. As I wrote earlier I have not had a single op up domestically in the 7 years I have been a WP/WP1, but I have had five or six internationally in the same time period.

To put things into perspective I accumulated 5100 SC's with QF in my year ending 31st July, and will finish with 1500 SC's with DJ in my year ending 31st August.

I wonder if the op up thing is fairly new. I have had two in 3 1/2 years of WP and 1 in two days of WP1. Given you don't fly QF Dom any more you won't be seeing whether that P1 status will make a difference. If I get more I will let you know and you can experiment again ;)

It will be good to share stories. Internationally I have to say P1 is worth going for. I have flown Qantas domestically on 10 sectors since becoming P1. (I have been doing the PVG thing with QF via Sydney in Y  and have done a return to ADL and SYD where colleagues were on QF, as well as a J SYD return as part of a BA J trip to LHR.) I may have to do a Sydney dash next week so I might try again but the whole priority boarding business puts me off.

I stand corrected...

I stand uncorrected:

There are so many good wines from the Barossa but it’s not just the Shiraz that should steal the limelight because the red blends of region are seriously worth seeking out. This is a blend of Grenache Shiraz and Touriga and shows spice, intensity and a savoury core. Shiraz offers generosity and fullness on the palate, Grenache lends a savoury element while the Touriga adds a fruit lift and complexity. This wine would make a really great addition to a cheese or charcuterie plate.

I knew it wasn't GSM - I work in telecommunications and I would have remembered!!!

And I stand 100% corrected:) It still sounds terribly taxing though ;)

I have six domestic sectors booked before my next o/s trip and then probably another 10 - 12 before Christmas. I will be flying in whY to AKL as well so that will be a chance for QF to upgrade me as well ;)

Good luck with that. I've done DJ Premium Economy MEL-AKL - pretty underwhelmed, especially after PER-MEL J. The Air NZ lounge in MEL is pretty good though.

Back on topic, 100% of my business travel is domestic so I will probably miss VA. Private travel will continue to be with VA for the next two years or so - when my status starts to run out.
