Hi all

I've got to transfer from T4 (QF9) to T3 at LHR for my connection to GOT on SK524 later next month. Never bee on this intra-European route on the same day like this before so I would really appreciate any hints...

1. What're my chances to get my bag checked in enroute to GOT from the original departure point of ADL, noting that I've got 2 separate bookings with Qantas and SAS?

2. Would I need to get through immigration at T4 then use the Healthrow Connect to get to T3, or would I be able to jump on a shuttle bus somewhere within T4 and get to T3 without queuing up @ Immigration in T4?

Many thanks in advance .

V.

As far as I am aware QF/SK have an interlining agreement so you should be able to get the luggage checked trhough to GOT if you present both itineraries at check-in. As you have 2 bookings call both carriers and advise them of the travel plans with the other carrier.

I have transferred from T4->T2 in LHR and that was relatively painless using the complimentary bus transfer but had to wait close to an hour at that time of the morning. I was asking someone at golf the other day about T5->T4 connections and he mentioned to get the train. He prefers walking after a long flight and used to do it for T4->T3 connections but not possible to walk for T5->T3 connections.

Hi JohnK, many thanks. I called QF and SK and they said it should be ok to get my luggage tagged all the way from ADL to GOT, as long as I asked @ check-in.

I've done T5 -> T4 on the Heathrow Express a few times before. The only catch was I had to clear immigration. The LHR website mentions the bus transfer like you said, so will see how it goes for T4 -> T3 this time.
