I would really like to learn a lot more about collecting and using points and need your help.
Is there a publication/website that will explain the 'ins and outs 'of this program for beginners?
I wouldn't class myself as a frequent flyer, but would like to get something for my loyalty efforts.
I'm with the Qantas/ANZ Frequent Flyer program since January.
Which board on this site would best serve my needs?
Thanks,
Kinka

There is no one stop shop for everything, but this site comes close if you take the time to read the threads, the Qantas Frequent Flyer section is a good start for the Qantas side of things, for the ANZ side look at the banking section, if you are not looking at another card to get points then I would suggest you have some reading to do , if thats your aim of having the card.

a search of amazon trawled up a number of frequent flyer related books including
Mileage Pro: The Insider's Guide to Frequent Flyer Programs (Paperback)

[by] Randy Petersen (Author), Tim Winship (Author)

a few years old now but probably still useful advice In there

anyone read it?

Cheers skip

Randy Petersen is the person who started Flyertalk and Tim Winship is a travel expert. I suspect these books are geared more towards the US market but I would not purchase any books that gave tips on frequent flying when one can get better information for free.

Believe it or not a great place to start would be the QFF website. There are plenty of ideas on how to collect points from flights, hotels, cars, duty free, shopping, credit cards etc. It is good to understand how the frequent flyer program works.

Then read as many threads on AFF as possible....

Link the Woolies Everyday Rewards card to your QFF membership. If you swipe your Everyday Rewards card when you spend $30 or more on groceries at Woolies and pay with your ANZ QFF credit card (assuming you are the primary credit card holder) you can double dip on points.

I get most of my points by buying the groceries, but I don't pay by credit card because I am a secondary card holder.

... (deleted to avoid a law suit). Nonetheless, his book is a simple introduction to many of the "tricks" noted here, and a useful introduction.

I am a bit confused - I am a secondary card holder and I always buy my groceries with ANZ QFF and I get points on all my spending.

You can also get QFF points from Wooloworths not just ANZ credit card.

Signup to Woolworths Everyday Rewards and link the Everyday Rewards account to your QFF account. Points should update on QFF account weekly.
