Completed a retro claim for wife and 2 paying kids last week (APNG - May), all went through and very happy. Sent an email off telling how great the service was etc etc. Whilst doing the claim on the phone, the CSR mentioned that my then 22 month old didn't qualify for SC's or Points (even though she has a velocity number). The retro claim I submitted never mentioned her at all, but her velocity number would have been put against the flight by Airlines PNG originally, so I had no problem with this - as she was a no seat PAX.

Yesterday, I logged into the website (to check my seat allocation for the 19th), and notice my SC's had gone from 380 to 420. I thought it was odd, so checked - and they have now added 20 SC each way for the trip to my daughter (who then pools to me). Being an honest sort of guy, I thought - maybe I should ring Velocity and ask them to remove the SC's. But if they did the retro claim to APNG, then APNG have already paid for the SC's and Points, so if I ring, get them removed - will Virgin credit that back, or will it just go into a big hole? Is the admin cost worth it? And of course - at $2 a minute for the call from PNG to AUS it will end up costing me money to sort it out.

What should I do? The extra SC's ultimately aren't going to help, I hit Gold on Monday and will be Platinum in June based on my holidays Dec/June.

cheers

Forget about it, take the win :). Not like it's a lot anyway.

Congrats on your SC "windfall". I'd just let it go.

How does your 22mo. old have a Velocity number? I couldn't register minidoc as you have to be 2yo. to register.

(I assume you used a fictitious dob?)0

I don't really know, I just set her up. DOB is correct, didn't do anything dodgy in it, she even has her own Red card that she flashes at FA's :) She's now over 2 and of course is now costing me in flights :(
