As the title suggests I’m looking at a couple of options for transferring through FRA on seperate tickets with about 2hrs between flights.
I’ll be arriving on QR J and looking to depart on either BA which is 105 minutes later or LH which is 130 minutes later.
Haven’t been through FRA since pre Covid but always found it a bit of a mess so I honestly doubt either are doable but wondering if any on here have more recent experiences. I had originally wanted the BA flight as QR would check through bags on other OW airlines even on seperate tickets which would save me plenty of time but as of about a week ago this seems to have been “enhanced” and has now silently been removed from QR’s info pages so I’m thinking they are no longer doing it.
Worse case is I need spend a night in Frankfurt and fly out first thing in the morning

That’s disappointing.

No recent experience, sorry, but I’d never consider either of those connections on separate tickets at an huge and busy airport like FRA. Connection time is actually less because of the time when the gate would close for the onwards flight.

Good hotels right at the airport terminal and you’ll be off early the next morning.
