Hello,

Is it true that some people/members allow for other frequent flyer forum members to gain entry to the Qantas lounges if they don't have access themselves? I have never been in an Airport lounge and I just booked a flight on Jestar so I'm just wondering about what is possible. :)

What city, date & time is your flight? If there is another member in the airport at the same time that doesn't have another guest you might get you wish.

Thanks Sequel

I was just wondering if they would let me in? I'm 16. I think I read somewhere that guests have to be 18 - not sure though.

Excellent, thanks Dave :)

Would suggest reposting in January when it's closer to the time of travel given that it is nearly 6 months off and with luck someone will be able to help you out

There is the QP meeting thread

For me there would be a slight element of weirdness taking a 16 yo into a QP

Thanks Dave, I'll do that.

Simon - it'd just be to get me in so I could have a look around, do what can be done there (eat something I guess) and then get out. I do a bit of travelling by myself but I have never thought of going into a lounge until I have read about it on here. I didn't even know what they were until a couple of months back.
And I'll almost be 17 by that time anyway :p

I have often taken 14yo and younger guests into airline lounges :p . My kids love going to the airport with me. But with the new rules, it might be harder for me to do that since I will only be QF Gold shortly, although an working on maintaining OW Emerald.
