For bonus points, does the credit card spend include the annual fee? (NAB Qantas Signature)

Hi all,

As the title asks.


My NAB Qantas Signature Rewards card required $4k spend over 3 months. I've spent $4,200. However, the annual fee was $395. Does the $4k spend include the annual fee or not?

Also, is there a way to see if I've spent $4k worth of applicable items? I know some things are exempt (like government fees etc).
