Hey fellas,

anybody flown VA Prem.Economy , what's the food like? Is it identical meals to Economy or do you get some kind of a-la-carte choices like in Business?

If you have special meal requirements (e.g. kosher, vegetarian) do you advise them before the flight and how soon before?

cheers!

Food is a slightly larger variation on the Economy menu .. it's perfectly edible but certainly not memorable.

If you're a "standard" vegetarian you probably don't need to order a SPML - the standard menu has a non-meat dish for each course (or it did when I last flew W class). For everything else you should let them know at least a few days prior to the flight (or any time after booking).

Flew it SYD-LAX vv a few days ago.

Sparking wine, OJ or Water is offered on boarding.

A bar service run happened to LAX, but not from LAX.

Orders are taken for your main meal choice from one of three options (1 is vege).

A tray is delivered upon which sits a small salad (with some smoked salmon), your mains choice, some cheese and crackers & a small dessert. Cutlery is black plastic.

After the meal they come though with an offering of a small pour of Baileys or Cognac.

Wine/softdrink/Juice/Water is set up on a self service bar for much of the flight.

Breakfast was either an egg type dish with some sides like bacon/tomato/mushroom or cereal (a bit vague here).

Cool cool

I assume the Cognac is top-shelf from the reign of King Louis XIV.
