You'll almost certainly get the 3-class configuration. There's only one 747 left with the old first class seats, and I expect it will be retired in the next 6 months or so. But you never really know with Qantas. :)


For sure , I heard somewhere a few months ago, the last QF 747 4-class config is due to leave May/June this year and take up as a private charter operation, hence the reason for its minor upgrade last year. Got the chance to fly it on QF27 middle last year in the "F" cabin, just after completion. Was a major disappointment.

Somewhere on AFF, I did see the charter it was logged for, but can't find it right now. One of those high end RTW tours, A la "Captains Choice"
